Overall well-preserved condition. All cards are present. The photos on cards of a suit are all tinted a certain color (for example the diamond suit has green tinted photos). The edges of the cards have a gold embossing.

The protective case has two pieces as marked, an inner case and the outer protective case which is open on both ends. The case has a coat of arms and enscribed as 'Newfoundland Souvenir Playing Cards, published by Ayre & Sons, Ltd, St. John's, Newfoundland'.

One of the playing cards is an information card (pictured) that gives more details about Ayre & Sons.

The obverse of the cards feature a drawing of a Newfoundland dog. Below the dog are silhouette images of a moose and someone fishing.

A spectacular item. Either use them for that high-stakes poker game, or since they are a full set of 52 cards + 1 Joker +1  Info card=54 Cards, one could mount them all for display in a frame 6 cards wide by 9 cards high.
